LIFT: Podpora inovacijam in financiranju za podnebno preobrazbo mest
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
NetZeroCities has launched a LIFT call for short implementation projects that help cities set up the conditions to accelerate the implementation of measures to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Cities included in the EU Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission can apply to the call, and non-governmental organizations can also participate as partners.
They support projects that remove systemic barriers to implementing climate action and enable the deployment and wider use of city-wide solutions. Projects may include:
• deployment of new or improved technologies, services, processes, policies and governance models;
• use of public and private capital and development of blended finance models;
• cross-sectoral cooperation and new governance models;
• legal and financial expertise in the preparation and de-risking of financial packages.
Projects must contribute to practical solutions that can be transferred to other European cities.
CALL FOR CALL: Climate KIC within the NetZeroCities initiative
CALL VALUE: 2.000.000,00 EUR is available, one to three projects worth between 500.000,00 EUR and 1.500.000,00 EUR will be supported.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Only local authorities or city administrations of cities that are included in the EU Mission for Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030 can apply. The city must be the lead applicant.
The project must be implemented by a consortium of at least two independent legal entities. Research institutions, universities, NGOs, small and medium-sized enterprises, associations, groups of residents and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the city's climate goals can participate as partners. The funds must be divided between at least two members of the consortium, with no single partner receiving more than two thirds of the total amount requested.

Innovate Cities and Infrastructure: Podpora raziskovalnim in pilotnim projektom za trajnostni razvoj mest in infrastrukture
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
ETH for Development and SECO have launched a call within the framework of the Innovate Cities and Infrastructure program for interdisciplinary and application-oriented research projects carried out by partnerships between researchers from the ETH system, including ETH Zurich, and non-academic practical partners from eligible countries, including Slovenia.
Two types of support are available:
• Urban Research Grants for the development, testing or evaluation of an innovative result, tool, policy, service or prototype that responds to a specific urban development or infrastructure challenge;
• Urban Pilot Grants for pilot studies, preparation of new collaborations and development and validation of ideas for a larger applied research project.
Projects must develop solutions to the challenges of sustainable urban development, resilient infrastructure and local governance.

CALL VALUE:
Urban Research Grants: from 30.000,00 CHF to 350.000,00 CHF Swiss francs for projects lasting a maximum of 24 months. The application must be led by a professor from ETH Zurich or a professor or research group leader from another institution of the ETH system: EPFL, Eawag, Empa, PSI or WSL.

Local academic institutions can participate as additional partners, but they cannot replace the mandatory non-academic partner.

AGROECOLOGY: Štipendije za raziskovalne obiske mladih raziskovalcev na področju agroekologije v letu 2027
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The European Partnership on Agroecology has launched a call for support for short-term international visits to research institutions, universities or public organisations, aimed at early-career researchers.
The visits must enable the acquisition of research experience in a new environment, the exchange of knowledge, the development of professional competences and the expansion of international and interdisciplinary links in the field of agroecology.
The visit must:
• take place in a country other than the applicant's country of residence;
• last for at least four weeks without interruption;
• take place between February and December 2027;
• address topics or disciplines related to agroecology;
• represent a new research visit and not an extension of an existing stay.
Host institutions can be research institutes, public or private universities, public agencies or offices, ministries and intergovernmental organisations. The applicant must obtain the consent of the host institution before applying.

The Code4Europe Consortium has launched the second international call for projects in the field of coding, computational thinking, digital skills and STEM education within the framework of the EU Code Week initiative.
Projects will be supported that:
• implement a larger number of educational activities and register them on the EU Code Week platform;
• reach a larger number of participants at local, regional, national or cross-border level;
• increase the participation of girls and young women in coding, digital content and STEM education;
• organize career events and present educational and employment opportunities in digital fields to young people;

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe has launched a call for proposals to support long-term international youth cooperation projects that contribute to international understanding and solidarity and the promotion of human rights and democracy.
Supported projects must combine international meetings and other activities such as campaigns, advocacy projects, the production of educational and other materials, research and support for local or regional initiatives. At least one activity must be an international youth meeting lasting at least four programme days.
Projects must address several of the following objectives:
• strategic development of the work of the applicant, its members and networks;
• capacity building and knowledge development in youth organisations;
• establishment of long-term international partnerships;
• strengthening the knowledge and skills of young people;
• involvement of young people at local, national and international level.
The thematic priorities of the call are:
• revitalisation of pluralistic democracy,
• access to rights for young people,
• coexistence in peaceful and inclusive societies,
• youth work.
Projects must involve participants from at least seven Council of Europe member states, with at least 75% of participants under 30 years of age. SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The Eurofins Foundation has published a call for proposals to support projects that contribute to improving health and nutrition and protecting the environment.
The main objectives of the foundation:
• Environmental protection: Support for projects to preserve nature and reduce environmental impacts.
• Health and nutrition: Promote initiatives to improve human health and the quality of nutrition.
• Education and inclusion: Help students, scientific education and the promotion of equality and diversity.
They support projects that are already sufficiently developed for implementation, have clearly defined needs, activities, expected results and a way to measure effects. They do not support projects that are only in the initial planning or consultation phase, projects that have already been submitted to the foundation and have not been selected, and projects related to political or religious organizations or ideologies.

Globalna Evropa: Krepitev organizacij za pravice žensk pri uresničevanju enakosti spolov in ekonomskem opolnomočenju žensk v Zimbabveju
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
Under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (Global Europe), a public call for co-financing of projects that strengthen the role of women's and girls' rights organizations in monitoring the implementation of commitments in the field of gender equality, women's economic empowerment and the prevention of gender-based violence in Zimbabwe is published.
They support projects that:
• develop and test practical solutions for the greater participation of women and girls in local economic and community life;
• remove structural, social and institutional barriers that limit their rights, participation and leadership roles;
• strengthen dialogue and accountability of local authorities, public institutions and communities;
• develop recommendations based on project experience and promote the use of effective practices;
• include women and girls facing multiple forms of discrimination, including women with disabilities, young people, rural women and economically and socially disadvantaged women.

A public call for proposals is being launched under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) for co-financing projects that contribute to the enjoyment of rights, dignity and well-being of children with disabilities in Egypt.
Projects must address at least one of the following priority areas:
• protection of human rights and protection of children with disabilities from discrimination, neglect, violence and abuse;
• social inclusion and participation of children with disabilities in school, peer and community life;
• strengthening the capacities of families and caregivers and developing an environment that supports the inclusion, care and well-being of children with disabilities.

Svet Evrope: Poziv za sklenitev okvirnih pogodb za izvedbo raziskav in usposabljanj na področju zdravja žensk v športu
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The Council of Europe, within the framework of the joint European Union and Council of Europe project Active and Equal: Women’s Health in Sport Across Generations, has published a public call for proposals for the selection of providers of research, consultancy and training services in the field of women’s health in sport.
The project addresses health barriers affecting women’s and girls’ participation in sport at different stages of their lives, including adolescence, pregnancy and return to sport, menopause and older age. It is being implemented in Austria, France, Iceland, Italy, Slovenia and Spain.
The public call is divided into three lots:
• Lot 1: research and analysis of legislation, policies and physiological, psychological and social barriers affecting women’s participation in sport, including data collection, interviews, questionnaires and the preparation of a European overview report;
• Lot 2: development of educational materials, guidelines and a modular handbook and delivery of training for sports and health professionals, coaches, physical education teachers, policy makers and other stakeholders;
• Lot 3: development of an educational module and delivery of training for sports journalists and other media professionals on professional and gender-sensitive reporting on women's health in sport.
The Council of Europe intends to select a maximum of three contractors for each lot. The framework contracts will be valid until 31 December 2027. The services will be procured on a need-based basis, therefore the conclusion of a framework contract does not imply a guaranteed scope of work.

Culture Helps Solidarity: Supporting cultural projects to commemorate and document the experiences of people affected by the war in Ukraine
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The Culture Helps Solidarity consortium, implemented by the European Cultural Foundation in cooperation with Insha Osvita and zusa and the VETERANKA movement, has launched a second thematic call for support for small-scale cultural and community projects that address the memories, experiences and history of people directly affected by the Russian war against Ukraine.
The call supports projects in the fields of remembrance, commemoration and analogue and digital documentation. Special attention is paid to projects involving veterans, female military personnel, families of the fallen, witnesses of war events, local residents and people who have experienced loss, captivity, injury or displacement.
Projects can take the form of participatory and community art, story-telling and archiving, exhibitions, audio-visual content, artistic documentation, community meetings, publications, educational artistic activities and local remembrance events. They must respect the dignity, safety and right to decide of the people whose stories and losses they represent.

The Connect & Create programme, funded by the European Union, is launching a call for proposals to support the dissemination and presentation of African artistic productions in Africa and Europe. The call is aimed at performing arts and music, including theatre, dance, performance, puppetry, circus and street arts.
The following will be supported:
• touring performances by African artists, groups and ensembles in Africa with at least five confirmed performances in at least three countries outside their home country;
• touring performances by African artists, groups and ensembles in Europe with at least three confirmed performances in one or more European countries;

YOU-DARE: Podpora pilotnim projektom za preprečevanje radikalizacije mladih, povezane s skrajno desnimi spolno zaznamovanimi narativi
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The YOU-DARE project is launching a call for pilot projects that develop and test local, gender-sensitive approaches to preventing youth radicalization linked to far-right, anti-sexist and anti-feminist narratives.
They support practical projects that strengthen democratic participation, inclusion, critical thinking, a sense of belonging and social cohesion. Projects may also address loneliness, social exclusion, economic insecurity, hostility towards minorities and the spread of far-right content in the digital environment.
Ten projects will be supported, one project each in Denmark, France, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and a total of two projects in other EU Member States.

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology has launched a call for proposals to support one consortium to develop and test a decentralized social network for young people in the European Union.
The project must include:
• participation of young people from at least eight EU Member States in the design, development and testing of the platform;
• involvement of young people with diverse social and digital experiences, including young people with disabilities and neurodevelopmental special needs;
• development of at least one working prototype or upgrading of at least two existing decentralized services;
• testing of security, user-friendliness and impacts on mental health;
• examination of the responsible use of artificial intelligence in content recommendation, moderation, information verification and development of user features;
• market analysis and preparation of a plan for wider use, financing and long-term operation of the platform;
• cooperation with content creators, media, educational institutions, youth organisations and other stakeholders;
• implementation of the first phase of promotion and introduction of the platform during the project.

The European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) has launched a call for proposals within the framework of the FACTEUR project to support European fact-checking organisations in establishing a common European database of fact-checked information.
Selected applicants will be required to establish technical procedures and infrastructure for the regular submission of full-text fact-checks, data on detected disinformation and associated metadata to the common database.
Supported activities include:
• technical integration of editorial systems with the database;
• regular submission of fact-checks and associated data;
• review and, where necessary, correction or completion of metadata generated by artificial intelligence;
• granting EFCSN licensing rights to use and share the data with third parties under fair and reasonable conditions;

• have a demonstrable content focus on at least one Council of Europe member state, Kosovo, Belarus or Russia;
• have a valid EFCSN certificate;
• be established in the European Union or a country associated to the Digital Europe Programme.

The European Network for Fact-Checking Standards has launched a call for support to fact-checking organisations in responding to and preparing for disinformation during information crises as part of the FACTEUR project.
Two types of support are available:
• support for emergency fact-checking, aimed at verifying and exposing false content, investigative journalism, recruiting additional journalists and fact-checkers, using disinformation monitoring tools, preparing analyses and counter-narratives, and crisis communication;
• support for capacity building, aimed at improving organisational security and legal protection, preparing crisis protocols, training and mentoring, monitoring disinformation campaigns and foreign manipulation of information, cross-border cooperation, and detecting content created with artificial intelligence.
Applications are accepted from 10 August until funds are spent or no later than 31. 12. 2027.
CALLING BY: European Network for Fact-Checking Standards
CALL VALUE: 450.000,00 EUR, of which 225.000,00 EUR is intended for urgent fact-checking and 225.000,00 EUR for capacity building.
FUNDING AMOUNTS AND SHARES:
A maximum of 15.000,00 EUR per applicant is eligible for funding, with 50% of the project value being co-financed. Approximately 30 grants are expected to be awarded, 15 in each package.
PROJECT DURATION: Up to 8 months.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Profit and non-profit legal entities established in the EU or a country associated with the Digital Europe Programme may apply to the call, either individually or in a consortium.
Applicants must be:
• fact-checking organisations or fact-checking teams or units within larger organisations;
• certified members of the EFCSN or organisations that can demonstrate practical compliance with the European Code of Standards for Independent Fact-Checking Organisations;
• organisations that publish an average of at least four original human-generated fact-checking articles per month.
In the case of consortium projects, all participating organisations must meet the above conditions. An individual organisation may receive capacity-building support once during the call period and emergency fact-checking support twice. In the event of an unforeseen crisis affecting several countries, a third emergency fact-checking support may be exceptionally granted.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The European Network for Fact-Checking Standards has launched a call for proposals within the framework of the FACTEUR project to support the exchange of information and experience between European fact-checking organisations during information crises.
Two types of activities will be supported:
• preparation of informative overviews in English on the most common disinformation narratives and claims that are spreading during ongoing partially predictable or unpredictable crisis events and that could have a cross-border impact;
• preparation of case studies in English that present the rise of disinformation, the response of the fact-checking organisation and the lessons learned after the crisis event.
The crisis events covered must have occurred during the duration of the call.
Applications are accepted from 10 August until the funds are spent or no later than 30. 4. 2028.

CALL VALUE: 50.000,00 EUR
FUNDING AMOUNTS AND SHARES: 50% of the value is co-financed, a maximum of 1.000,00 EUR can be received for a fact-check and a maximum of 3.500,00 EUR for a case study.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
For-profit and non-profit legal entities established in the EU or a country associated with the Digital Europe Programme can apply independently to the call.
Applicants must:
• be EFCSN certified organisations;
• be fact-checking organisations or fact-checking teams or units within larger organisations;
• publish an average of at least four original fact-checking articles per month, prepared by people.
Organisations may receive support for the preparation of fact-checks and case studies more than once. Consortium applications are not envisaged.

JournalismFund.eu: Call for co-financing of cross-border investigative journalism projects in 2026 and 2027
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The call supports cross-border investigative journalism projects that aim to strengthen independent journalism in Europe and encourage cooperation between journalists from different countries.
JournalismFund.eu will allocate EUR 1,680,000 in 2026 and 2027 to teams of journalists from several European countries who research and prepare a common story together. After three already closed deadlines, applications will be possible on 1 October 2026, 7 January 2027 and 11 March 2027.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative has announced a call for support for initial, research projects that test new hypotheses and introduce new conceptual or experimental approaches to the study of autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders.
The call is open to a variety of scientific disciplines, methodologies, and experimental systems, including human studies. Projects that go beyond established research frameworks, introduce new tools or insights, and may open new directions for basic research will be supported. No prior data are required, but applicants must demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed research.
The call is not intended to continue or expand projects that the applicant is already conducting, regardless of their funding source.
The call will be open until funds are spent.

FUNDING AMOUNTS AND SHARES: Each project may receive up to $300.000,00 per year for up to two years, or a total of up to $600.000,00
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Public and private research institutions, including universities, hospitals, laboratories, state and local governments, and other organizations with appropriate research capabilities, may submit applications.
The principal investigator and key collaborators must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and hold an academic or comparable position at a research institution.
Institutions outside the United States are also eligible to apply. If nominated for funding, they must demonstrate that they are comparable to a U.S. nonprofit organization with public charity status. See the application documents for other requirements.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
Astellas and Pfizer have announced a public call for co-financing of independent medical educational projects intended for healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma and muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
The call supports projects that improve knowledge about treatment options and sequencing, management of adverse effects, new perioperative approaches, integration of systemic therapy into surgical decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration between urology and medical oncology. Supported activities must be based on independent, balanced, and evidence-based education without promotional content. The call is not intended for clinical research, evaluation of the effectiveness of therapeutic or diagnostic agents, or direct patient education.
