HERIFORGE: 2. odprti poziv za razvoj interaktivnih rešitev na področju kulturne dediščine
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The HERIFORGE Consortium has launched its second open call for projects that develop technical and immersive solutions for a more interactive, accessible and inclusive use and presentation of cultural heritage.
The solutions must be based on the use of augmented reality (XR) technologies and respond to specific challenges identified by the HERIFORGE hubs in Cyprus, Poland and Turkey. The HERIFORGE project is developing a network of three interconnected hubs for research and innovation in the cultural and creative sectors.
Selected projects will be included in a six-month support program, within which they will receive technical mentoring in addition to financial support.

Goethe-Institut: Program podpore prevodom nemškojezičnih knjig v druge jezike
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The Goethe-Institut supports translations of German-language books into other languages in order to bring contemporary German literature, non-fiction, and books for children and young adults closer to international readers. Translations of works that have been published in print by a publisher in a German-speaking country are supported, and the translation must be prepared directly from the original German text.
Support is intended for translations of fiction, poetry, picture books, comics and graphic novels for adults, children and young adults, non-fiction and essays on current social topics, and more popular professional works in the humanities and social sciences. Preference is given to translations of contemporary German authors into languages in which there is little of their work or German literature in general.
Light fiction and crime novels, narrowly specialized works, doctoral and post-doctoral theses, textbooks, theater texts, sheet music, exhibition catalogues, cookbooks, manuals and tourist guides are not supported. They also do not finance translations of foreign language books into German.
Calls are open three times a year, each for one month. The application deadlines are April 15, September 15 and December 1.

The Goethe-Institut has announced the second application deadline of this year within the framework of the International Coproduction Fund (IKF) program, intended to support international coproductions in the fields of music, theater, dance and performance.
The development of new productions and the further development of existing projects can be supported, which must demonstrate a common artistic process and equal substantive cooperation between partners. Interdisciplinary and hybrid projects and projects that meaningfully include digital media are also eligible.
The production must have been presented at least once outside Germany; priority is given to projects that will be presented in at least two countries.

The Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation Javne agencije za znanstvenoraziskovalno in inovacijsko dejavnost, announces that the European partnership Promoting Transitions to a Sustainable Future in Urban Environments has published its fifth international call. The purpose of the call is to support transnational research and innovation projects that would help cities transition to a more sustainable economy and operation.
The call is open to a very wide range of scientific disciplines, social sciences and humanities as well as arts, environmental, natural and technical sciences and applied fields such as architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, spatial planning and policy development.
The fifth call of the DUT partnership is divided into three thematic areas:
• circular economy in urban environments;
• energy-positive districts and neighbourhoods;
• 15-minute cities.
CALL FOR: DUT Partnership
CALL VALUE: For Slovenian partners, ARIS has allocated 450.000,00 EUR for the call and anticipates funding approximately two to three projects. ARIS can allocate a maximum of 165.000,00 EUR for the Slovenian part of an individual project.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
The application must be submitted by a consortium of at least three independent organizations from at least three countries whose national or regional funders are participating in the call. Participants may include research organizations, universities, companies, local and regional authorities, non-governmental and other non-profit organizations and organizations in the field of culture and creativity, but actual eligibility for funding depends on the rules of the individual national funder.
For Slovenian applicants, funds are provided by ARIS. Higher education and research organizations registered in the ARIS register of research organizations that are not business entities are eligible for ARIS funding. Slovenian companies and NGOs can join the consortium, but they must finance their participation from their own resources. The leader of the Slovenian research group must have a PhD and meet the ARIS requirements for a research project leader.
ARIS funds only strategic or fundamental research. All topics within the three main areas are open to Slovenian applicants, except for the cross-sectoral topic on adaptive reuse of existing urban buildings and spaces.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The European Commission has launched the Excellence Hubs call for proposals under the Horizon Europe programme to strengthen regional research and innovation ecosystems in countries with lower research and innovation performance (i.e. Widening countries).
The aim of the call is to strengthen cooperation between research and academic institutions, businesses, public authorities and society and to develop regional innovation ecosystems in areas related to regional or national smart specialisation strategies. They support the preparation and implementation of joint cross-border research and innovation strategies, joint research projects, preparation of investment plans, development of knowledge and skills, knowledge transfer and cooperation with local authorities and residents.
Each participating research and innovation ecosystem must connect four groups of actors:
• academic or research institutions,
• businesses,
• regional or local public authorities or their authorised agencies,
• societal actors, including civil society organisations.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
The European Partnership for a Sustainable Blue Economy has launched its fourth joint transnational call: "Building a Sustainable and Innovative Blue Economy: Mastering Digital Opportunities and Fostering Resilience."
The call targets international research and innovation projects that contribute to the green and digital transition, resilience, and the sustainable development of the blue economy.
The call's priority areas are:
• transformation of blue economy sectors for greater sustainability and strategic autonomy;
• management of sea use through advanced digital and ecosystem-based approaches;
• sustainable marine biological resources and innovations in their production and harvesting;
• strengthening the resilience of coastal communities, infrastructure, and businesses.
A proposal must address one priority area as its main focus but may also integrate multiple areas. Special emphasis is placed on digitalization, the inclusion of social sciences and humanities, and the use of nature-based solutions.

It must also include at least two independent legal entities from two different EU Member States or countries associated with the Horizon Europe programme.
Slovenia is participating in the call. The Slovenian funding agency, MIZS, has allocated 600.000,00 EUR for the funding of Slovenian partners, with Slovenian applicants eligible to participate in all four priority areas. Before applying, they must verify the specific Slovenian conditions, eligible types of organisations, maximum funding amounts, and co-financing rates.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
A call for proposals has been launched under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe to support cooperation between US and European public policy research and analysis organizations. The aim of the call is to strengthen the EU-US partnership, enhance mutual understanding, and incorporate European perspectives into public policy debates in the US.
The call comprises two lots:
• Lot 1: Cooperation with organizations in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area and with federal-level policymakers. The majority of activities must take place in this area.
• Lot 2: Cooperation with organizations and policymakers at the individual state level outside the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. Cooperation with an organization based in one of the states is considered an advantage.
Support is provided for public policy research and analysis; the preparation of databases and other expert materials; dialogues, conferences, webinars, training sessions, and workshops; and public outreach. Projects may address trade, economic and energy security, defense, cyber threats, artificial intelligence, digital governance, the environment, democratic resilience, migration, and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.
Activities must take place in the US, although, exceptionally, some may also take place in EU Member States.

TEEEM Foundation has announced a call for support for projects by non-profit and charitable organizations in communities where the needs for access to education, health, food, basic infrastructure and economic opportunities are greater.
They support projects in the areas of education and youth development, food security and basic needs, access to health care, women's empowerment and gender equality, community infrastructure, entrepreneurship and economic opportunities. Priority is given to projects that are based on the needs of local communities, involve residents in planning and implementation, and have measurable and long-term impacts.
The amount of support depends on the needs of the organization, the scope of the project and the available funds. Typical amounts are:
• from 5,000 to 10,000 US dollars for smaller community initiatives,

On September 2, the European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN)—in a consortium with the organizations Faktograf, Pagella Politica, Fact Review, FactCheck Cyprus, and Greece Fact Check—launched a call for rapid assistance under the FACTEUR project. This call supports fact-checking organizations facing threats, harassment, online attacks, vandalism, physical violence, legal proceedings, or Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP) due to their work.
Funding covers:
• psychological support, counseling, and assistance regarding the aftermath of a specific incident;
• legal assistance concerning defamation, harassment, violence, copyright disputes, and SLAPP lawsuits;
• physical protection of employees, premises, and journalistic assignments;
• security systems, equipment, secure temporary workspaces, and remote work arrangements;
• emergency relocation, transport, accommodation, and crisis coordination;
• cybersecurity, security software, encrypted devices, security audits, and risk assessments.

EaSI: Podpora enemu vseevropskemu projektu za strukturirani dialog z ljudmi z izkušnjo revščine
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion has launched a call for co-financing of one pan-European project under the ESF+ strand for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) that will enable a structured dialogue between EU policymakers and people experiencing poverty or social exclusion.
The aim is to strengthen their direct involvement in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of policies to combat poverty and social exclusion. The selected consortium will, among other things, ensure the inclusion and support of participants in the structured dialogue, organise preparatory meetings and cover the costs of participation, set up national and regional hubs, provide training and develop guidelines for the inclusion of people experiencing poverty in policy-making. The project will also include a campaign against stigmatisation and hostile narratives about poverty.

CALL SUBJECT:
The G&D Lab at the Inter-American Development Bank has launched a call for research that examines how regulatory, financial, fiscal and labor reforms differentially affect women's and men's economic opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean, and how public policies can contribute to reducing these disparities.
Priority is given to research in four areas:
• regulatory simplification and digital public administration,
• financial regulation and access to credit and formal markets,
• tax regulation and economic participation,
• labor regulation and formal employment.
Research may also address the differential effects of these policies on indigenous peoples, people of African descent and people with disabilities. Proposals must include one or more of the 26 IDB borrower countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and use quantitative methods that allow for the identification of causal relationships, including structural models and experimental or quasi-experimental approaches.
Two categories of support are available:

The Culture Helps Solidarity consortium, implemented by the European Cultural Foundation in collaboration with Insha Osvita, zusa and the VETERANKA movement, has announced the second (and final) call for grants for international cultural cooperation aimed at supporting artists and cultural professionals from Ukraine in maintaining creativity, resilience and community cohesion during and after the war.
The call supports cross-border cultural projects that, through art and culture, improve access to cultural participation and support the integration of internally displaced persons and refugees from Ukraine into host communities. Special attention is paid to vulnerable groups, in particular veterans, and mental health issues.
Supported projects must be based on cooperation between organisations from Ukraine and countries included in the Creative Europe programme and contribute to:
• cross-border networking and exchange of knowledge and good practices,
• capacity building for intercultural dialogue and support for mental health,
• professional development of cultural leaders in line with EU standards.

CALL VALUE: At least 15 projects will be supported. Up to 20.000,00 EUR can be obtained for partnerships of two organisations, and up to 30.000,00 EUR for partnerships of three or more organisations.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Cultural organisations from Ukraine and Creative Europe beneficiary countries are eligible to apply. A partnership between at least two organisations is required, one of which must be based in Ukraine and the other in one of the other Creative Europe beneficiary countries. EFFEA Call #5: Mednarodna partnerstva festivalov za rezidence in podporo vzhajajočim umetnikom
CALL SUBJECT:
The European Festivals Association (EFA) has launched the EFFEA Call #5 (European Fund for Emerging Artists). The call is intended for festivals wishing to support and host emerging artists (individuals or collectives) in international residencies to be held in 2027.
The call will support 50 residencies, which must involve a leading festival and at least two partner festivals from different eligible countries. The residencies provide artists with the time, space and support to develop new or further develop existing works and connect with festival program managers and audiences in multiple countries. There are two categories:
• EFFEA Discovery: 40 residencies of 8.000,00 EUR (for artists at the beginning of their journey).
• EFFEA Springboard: 10 residencies of 15.000,00 EUR (for artists who are already established at home and are penetrating the international market).

CALL VALUE: Within the EFFEA Discovery category, 40 grants of 8.000,00 EUR will be awarded, and within the EFFEA Springboard category, 10 grants of 15.000,00 EUR will be awarded.

Consortia consisting of a leading festival and at least two partners from a total of at least three different eligible countries, including Slovenia, may apply to the call.
All participating festivals must have at least one completed edition and be registered on the FestivalFinder.eu platform before submitting their application.
The call covers a wide range of artistic fields: architecture, ballet, contemporary dance, circus, design and applied arts, digital arts, film, folklore and folk art, cultural heritage, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music, opera, street art, theatre, photography and video, puppetry, sculpture and painting.

CODA – Co-development Animation Awards: Podpora mednarodnemu sorazvoju animiranih filmov in serij
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:
CODA – Co-development Animation Awards has launched a call for support for the co-development of animation projects of all formats and lengths, including feature films, TV and web series, TV specials, and short films. The aim of the call is to foster international cooperation during the early stages of project development and to establish partnerships between producers from CODA member countries.
The project must involve at least two partners from at least two different CODA member countries: Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Poland, Slovakia, or Slovenia.

TOTAL FUNDING: A total of approximately 65.000,00 EUR is available for 2026. The support amounts to 20.000,00 EUR for animated feature films, 20.000,00 EUR for TV and web series and TV specials, and 5.000,00 EUR for animated short films.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Applications may be submitted by an independent lead producer based in one of the CODA member countries. Science for Animal Welfare: Podpora potovanjem, usposabljanjem in dogodkom na področju dobrobiti živali
SUBJECT OF THE CALL:
Science for Animal Welfare supports participation in educational and scientific meetings, lectures, courses and study or educational visits, as well as the organization of such events and other small-scale non-research activities that contribute to the organization's animal welfare objectives.
Animal welfare must be the main focus of the activity applied for. It does not support travel, training or events whose main purpose is, for example, nature conservation or improving livestock productivity, if the animal welfare benefits are not clearly identified.
Applications are accepted all year round, but must be submitted at least two months before the date of travel or the start of the training or event.
This call is not intended for research projects Small Research Grants are available for research worth up to GBP 5.000,00 and Large Research Grants are available for research worth over GBP 5.000,00.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Only registered members of Science for Animal Welfare may apply; membership information is available on the Science for Animal Welfare.

Science for Animal Welfare has launched a call for support for research projects that contribute to a better understanding of the needs of animals and ways to improve their welfare and require more than 5.000,00 GBP British pounds of support.
They support research in the field of welfare of farm animals, companion animals, laboratory animals, captive wild animals and wild animals whose welfare is threatened by human impact. Animal welfare must be the main focus of the research. Projects that focus primarily on nature conservation or increasing the productivity of livestock farming are not eligible if the benefits for animal welfare are not clearly identified.
A separate call for Small Research Grants, is available for research projects requiring up to 5.000,00 GBP British pounds, and a call for Travel, Travel, Training and Other Events Grants, is available for participation in or organisation of educational and scientific meetings, lectures, courses, training and other smaller projects.

The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre has launched a call for proposals under the Digital Europe Programme to support projects that contribute to strengthening European capabilities, resilience and operational readiness in the field of cybersecurity (DIGITAL-ECCC-2027-DEPLOY-CYBER-11).
The call has seven strands:
– development and deployment of solutions that use artificial intelligence to detect threats and vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, analyze and exchange data and perform other tasks in the field of cybersecurity.
– development and deployment of user-friendly solutions for risk management, threat detection, incident response and reporting.
• Coordinated preparedness testing and other preparedness actions – supporting the verification of cyber resilience of entities in critical sectors, including through penetration testing, risk assessment, vulnerability monitoring, exercises and training.
