The European Commission has launched a call for co-financing projects in the field of promoting sustainable consumption and production in Asia under the SWITCH Asia programme.

Specific objectives of the call:

• Support the green transformation of key economic value chains within Asia or those linked to the European Union, with the aim of reducing their carbon and environmental footprint.

• Improve the business environment and investment climate for the circular economy in the Asian region and ensure that existing and new instruments for financing green and climate action meet the needs of the private sector.

LEAP-SE: Mednarodni razpis Dolgoročnega skupnega raziskovalnega in inovacijskega partnerstva med Evropsko unijo in Afriško unijo na področju trajnostne energije

 

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation announces  that the Long-Term Joint Research and Innovation Partnership between the European Union (EU) and the African Union (AU) in the field of Sustainable Energy (LEAP-SE) has published its second international call.

The purpose of the call is to support transnational research and innovation projects in the field of sustainable energy. Call topics:

• assessment of renewable energy sources and integration of renewable energy sources into sustainable energy scenarios;

• management of spent and second-life energy sources and the environmental impact of renewable energy components;

• smart stand-alone systems;

• smart grids (of various scales) for off-grid use;

• processes and devices for production use (agriculture, mobility and industry);

• innovative solutions for priority domestic use (clean cooking and cold chain);

• production and use of green hydrogen.

The research and innovation projects selected in the call should also strongly involve stakeholders (experts, companies, NGOs, etc.) from the very beginning, the research should focus on all aspects of research and innovation in the sustainable energy value chain, and the cooperation should be transdisciplinary, interdisciplinary and inclusive.

CALL VALUE: The estimated amount of funds for applicants from Slovenia is 400.000,00 EUR. The Agency will (co)finance an individual project in a total amount of up to 200.000,00 EUR.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

Research institutions are eligible to apply - Research organisations from Slovenia are eligible to apply to the second international call for proposals of the LEAP-SE partnership, subject to the international and national eligibility conditions. International consortia applying to the call must include at least four partners, of which at least two partners from at least two different participating countries, eligible for funding from participating funding agencies from EU countries or associated countries, and two partners from at least two different participating countries from the AU.

Razpis sklada CIEIF za sofinanciranje raziskav okoljskih vplivov novih podnebnih tehnologij


SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The Climate Intervention Environmental Impact Fund (CIEIF) has announced a call for co-financing research into the environmental impacts of new climate technologies, to which researchers from all over the world who are developing new approaches to reducing and addressing the consequences of climate change can apply.

The fund exclusively finances projects aimed at anticipating the environmental impacts of new technologies. This includes:

• preparation of environmental impact assessments,

• modeling studies on the impacts of climate interventions,

• involvement of stakeholders in small-scale field trials of new technologies.

Within the framework of the next call period, three projects worth 75.000,00 US$  will be supported.

EPIC-X: Podpora deep-tech zagonskim podjetjem, ki jih vodijo ženske

 

CALL SUBJECT:

The EPIC-X consortium has launched a call for deep-tech startups led by women. The program aims to empower female entrepreneurs in countries with moderate or emerging innovation performance and provide them with access to support, networking and European opportunities.

 

Selected participants will be included in the Acceleration+ program, which includes:

• non-repayable financial support of up to 60.000,00 EUR

(of which 20.000,00 EUR for business mentoring),

• training and capacity building,

• cross-border collaboration with other startups,

• promotion at European events, including the EPIC-X Demo Day.

• at least one woman must hold a founding or management position (e.g. CEO, CTO) with at least 25% ownership or an equivalent decisive role;

• the company must be an SME established before 1 January 2024.

JournalismAI: Poziv k inovacijam z uporabo umetne inteligence v medijih

 

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

JournalismAI, in collaboration with the Google News Initiative, is implementing the JournalismAI Innovation Challenge program, intended to co-finance projects by media content publishers that promote the use of artificial intelligence through innovation and experimentation.

The program is intended for small and medium-sized media that are already exploring the possibilities of using AI technologies. In 2025, up to 12 media organizations will be supported, which will use AI to improve audience knowledge and enable revenue growth.

 

ANNOUNCEMENT BY: JournalismAI

CALL VALUE: Funding is available for 12 project ideas. 8 projects will receive 50,000 US dollars, and 4 projects will receive 100.000,00 US dollars. Applicants choose the amount they are applying for.

Media content publishers who:

• have a digital presence and have been operating for at least 12 months prior to application,

Ustvarjalna Evropa: Izbor ene organizacije ali konzorcija za upravljanje programa Perform Europe


SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The EACEA - Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency has launched a call for proposals under the Creative Europe Programme to select one organisation or consortium to manage and implement the Perform Europe programme - the European funding mechanism for the performing arts sector.

The selected operator will be required to:

• organise and manage a re-granting scheme,

• co-finance at least 25 projects from all sub-sectors and disciplines of the performing arts through re-granting,

• ensure the European dimension and accessibility of funding across the EU and participating countries.

The programme continues the previous phases of Perform Europe (2020-2024), which promoted sustainable, inclusive and innovative cross-border mobility in the performing arts.

Digitalna Evropa: Pospeševanje najboljše uporabe tehnologij - EDMO Hubs

 

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The Executive Agency for Health and Digital Technologies – HaDEA has published a new call for co-financing projects in the field of promoting the best use of technologies within the framework of the Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL). The call concerns the financing of the operation of independent national and regional hubs of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO Hubs).

The aim of the call is to ensure the continued coverage of the geographical areas covered so far by the existing EDMO hubs, whose funding expires in 2026. The new hubs will be responsible for monitoring, investigating and preventing the spread of disinformation and promoting digital literacy and fact-checking.

Novi evropski Bauhaus: Poziv k prijavam za sodelovanje v pospeševalnem programu Catalyse NEB 2026

        

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has launched a call for applications for the Catalyse NEB accelerator programme for 2026, which promotes the implementation of the values ​​of the New European Bauhaus initiative across Europe.

Innovative start-ups that incorporate sustainability, inclusion and design beyond functionality into their business ideas — in line with the NEB’s mission to improve the quality of life and promote the green and digital transitions — are invited to participate.

Selected start-ups will receive 22.000,00 EUR in grants, business and entrepreneurial support, and access to the EIT Community NEB ecosystem. Projects must address specific societal challenges (climate change adaptation, support for sustainable mobility and transport, manufacturing and/or agri-food, and the circular economy), deliver measurable results, and demonstrate potential for scale-up.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

On 14 November, the European Commission published in the Official Journal of the EU  a call for proposals under the European Solidarity Corps programme for the year 2026.

 

The call covers the following actions of the European Solidarity Corps programme:

• volunteering projects,

• group volunteering activities in priority areas,

• solidarity projects,

• quality label for solidarity volunteering activities,

• quality label for volunteering in humanitarian aid,

• volunteering within the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps.

 

Deadlines for submission of applications:

• volunteering projects: 18 February 2026; (optional round) 1 October 2026

In addition, groups of young people registered on the European Solidarity Corps portal may apply for funding for solidarity projects.

The following countries may fully participate in all actions of the European Solidarity Corps:

• The 27 Member States of the European Union, including the overseas countries and territories,

• Third countries associated to the Programme:

o EFTA/EEA countries: Iceland and Liechtenstein,

o EU candidate countries: Republic of Turkey, Republic of North Macedonia.

In addition, entities legally established in third countries not associated to the Programme may participate in certain actions where this is in the interest of the Union within the meaning of Article 14(2) of Regulation (EU) 2021/888 on the European Solidarity Corps.

Šesti poziv Unescovega Globalnega sklada za obrambo medijev za sklenitev partnerstev z neprofitnimi organizacijami

 

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The sixth call for proposals was launched on 4 November under UNESCO's Global Media Defense Fund (GMDF), which will award up to twenty-five partnerships with non-profit organisations.

The aim of the call is to support local, regional and international non-profit organisations working in the field of legal protection of journalists and strengthening media freedom through strategic litigation or investigative journalism.

A public call is being launched under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (Global Europe) with the aim of contributing to the respect for democratic principles, the promotion and protection of human rights and the strengthening of civil society organisations as independent actors of good governance and development in Palestine.

The call has two strands:

• Strand 1 - Thematic Programme for Civil Society Organisations: the objective of Strand 1 is to strengthen local civil society organisations to operate more effectively in the field of combating the shrinking space for civil society, responding to growing constraints and enhancing their participation in policy-making and good governance;

• Strand 2 - Thematic Programme for Human Rights and Democracy: the objective of Strand 2 is to protect human rights in Palestine by preventing and documenting violations, promoting accountability and supporting vulnerable groups, including children, women and persons with disabilities.

The call is thematically divided into two sections:

• Section 1 - Human Rights and Democracy: Strengthening access to justice and protection mechanisms for human rights defenders, witnesses and whistleblowers.

• Section 2 - Support to civil society organisations in partner countries: Promoting information and awareness-raising to strengthen democratic culture and fight corruption.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

A public call for proposals is being launched under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (Global Europe) for co-financing projects that contribute to building resilient, just and transparent societies and promote human rights, democracy, human development and economic and social inclusion in Peru.

The call has two lots:

• Lot 1: Support for projects that promote the economic and social inclusion of young people under 30 years of age, with a focus on access to decent work. Priority will be given to projects that facilitate the integration of young people from vulnerable groups into the labour market.

• Lot 2: Support for projects that contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights and the fight against violence. Priority will be given to activities to protect human rights defenders, in particular members of indigenous communities, environmental and territorial defenders, members of minorities and journalists.

The AU–EU Youth Action Lab has launched a call for co-financing projects led by youth organisations that promote cooperation between Africa and Europe. The call supports projects of civil society organizations in Ukraine that strengthen democratic processes, participation in reforms, inclusion of vulnerable groups and local development.

The call is divided into five thematic blocks:

• Women and gender equality (strengthening women's organizations, combating gender-based violence, promoting equality)

• Media (strengthening independent media, modernizing editorial offices, investigative journalism)

• Human rights (documenting violations, supporting victims, raising awareness, advocacy)

• Social cohesion (supporting vulnerable groups, social services, integrating veterans and internally displaced persons)

Pfizer and the Canadian organization CanAge have announced a global call for co-financing of projects that will contribute to improving programs and policies for adults with rare diseases.

The program focuses on improving the systemic and political environment that affects older adults with rare diseases. Projects that accelerate policy changes for better access to appropriate care and treatment will be supported. Submitted projects must address at least one of the following areas:

• Assessment and analysis (gathering evidence to support advocacy and policy development that closes gaps in health care, assessing community outreach, etc.)

• Education and awareness (supporting the development of national action plans for rare diseases, implementing education and awareness programs, etc.)

• Policies and advocacy.

Target group:

• adults living with rare diseases,

Razpis Evropskega raziskovalnega partnerstva za redke bolezni za sofinanciranje mednarodnih mrežnih dogodkov

 

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The European Research Partnership for Rare Diseases ERDERA invites experts, researchers and organisations in the field of rare diseases and rare cancers to apply for the call under the Networking Support Scheme (NSS).

The Networking Support Scheme encourages the exchange of knowledge and experience between doctors, researchers, research leaders and patients with the aim of strengthening existing and creating new research networks.

With the call, ERDERA co-finances the organisation of international networking events that connect experts and patient organisations and promote knowledge transfer, research collaboration and the inclusion of countries that are less represented in European research networks.

Events must involve participants from at least three different eligible countries and can be carried out live or in a hybrid format. The maximum amount of co-financing is 30.000,00 EUR per individual networking event.

The call will be open until the funds are used up, expected to be until April 2029. Applications can be submitted at any time, and the evaluation takes place in six-month blocks - the next deadline is April 7, 2026.

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The Autism Science Foundation (ASF) has announced a public call for co-funding of one-year pilot research projects and predoctoral fellowships that address severe forms of autism and severe, intense, and dangerous behaviors associated with autism.

The call funds one-year pilot studies that examine the biological mechanisms of severe forms of autism, new behavioral, pharmacological, or genetic approaches, and the challenges of including people with profound autism in research. It also supports research on common comorbid medical conditions. Co-funding is up to $35,000.

Free Rivers Fund: Razpis za sofinanciranje pobud za zaščito prosto tekočih rek


SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

On November 1, the Free Rivers Fund opened applications for its annual public call for co-financing costs related to activities to protect free-flowing rivers.

This can include either measures to remove dams (i.e., remove existing structures that impede the natural flow of water in the riverbed, sediment transport, and fish migration) or measures to preserve free-flowing rivers (combating the construction of new dams or hydroelectric power plants).

The MoveNow Global Social Innovation Challenge is an international program run by Social Shifters in partnership with Allianz. It aims to support young innovators who are developing new solutions to important social and environmental challenges.

The program combines mentorship, training and the opportunity to win prizes of 5.000,00 US$ or 10.000,00 US$ for the most promising projects. The challenge promotes social entrepreneurship, community well-being, financial empowerment and climate change response.

The program supports youth-led projects that offer innovative solutions for:

• financial inclusion and community empowerment (Move the Mind),

SNAPP: Razpis za podporo delovnim skupinam, ki razvijajo znanstvene rešitve za ključne izzive varstva narave

 

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

SNAPP is a global partnership between The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) that promotes the analysis and synthesis of scientific evidence to find solutions to the most pressing conservation challenges and to shape pathways to achieve them.

The program allocates up to 1.000.000,00 US$ annually to support 4-6 working groups. The working groups are designed as a collaborative model, designed by scientists, policymakers and practitioners. Each group is led by 2-3 researchers from different organizations and consists of 12-15 members from non-profit, academic, community, indigenous, government or other organizations with a social mission. The groups also include a full-time research associate and meet in person two to three times over a 24-month period.

The program supports the formation and operation of working groups that develop scientifically sound, practical and feasible solutions to conservation and sustainable development challenges. Activities of analysis, synthesis, research, formulation of recommendations, engagement with decision-makers and preparation of pathways for implementation of solutions are co-funded.

 

CALL FOR: Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 6. 1. 2026

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

Apply to the call for proposals by researchers and practitioners of any nationality affiliated with:

• academic institution

• government agency

• international organization

• non-profit organization

• community or indigenous organizations

• other organizations with a clearly defined social mission.

CALL SUBJECT:

The Beyond Plastic Med organization has announced a call for proposals, within which you can obtain funds of up to 15.000,00 EUR to co-finance costs related to activities to eliminate plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea.

These projects can be of various types: from reducing plastic use, data collection, awareness-raising, waste management, recycling, advocacy to finding alternatives to plastic. It is crucial that they are part of a unique local environment with which the project manager is well acquainted.


CALL FOR: BeMed

CALL VALUE: BeMed supports 10 to 15 projects each year, receiving up to 15.000,00 EUR, with a co-financing rate of up to 70% of eligible costs.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 5. 1. 2026

PROJECT DURATION: From 12 to 24 months.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

SUBJECT OF THE CALL:

The European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) is a European digital platform that connects cultural heritage organisations such as museums, archives, libraries, researchers and restorers. The platform provides a common infrastructure, advanced tools and a collaborative space for the digitisation, preservation and presentation of cultural heritage. The second call for participation and cooperation within the ECCCH has been launched.

The call supports projects that enable the participation of cultural heritage organisations in the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH). Activities that strengthen the capacities and cooperation of cultural institutions, such as training courses, workshops, communication activities and other forms of participation, including creative approaches such as hackathons, are co-financed.

CALL VALUE: 20 projects will be supported; each project can receive a maximum of 29.800,00 EUR.
